naxos | alyko kitesurf, wingfoil and windsurf spot
Greece
Overview
Alyko is a cape at the southwest tip of Naxos, sheltering a protected natural reserve of cedar trees. The kite spot is on the west-facing beach of the cape, exposed to the N/NNE Meltemi side-shore. The setting is spectacular with ruins of an abandoned hotel, centuries-old junipers, and coves with crystal clear waters. Alyko offers a wild and uncrowded sailing area, far from the Mikri Vigla crowds. The spot suits self-sufficient intermediate riders.
