What we do

Four tools to know where and when to ride, and who can help you along the way.

  • Live wind

We query weather stations and connected anemometers to show what is really blowing at your spot. In the mountains a general forecast does not tell you whether there is wind: with the community, we equip more spots with their own anemometer.

    The weather station project
  • The spot guide

More than 12,000 spots, each with its season, prevailing wind, nearby stations and forecasts.

    See the spots
  • Forecasts and alerts

Forecasts for every spot and, with Premium, a 15-day agenda matched against your wind window: you know when and where it works.

  • The directory and the agenda

Shops, resellers, craftspeople, schools and clubs, and the events they organise: the kite world is denser than it looks, and we make it visible.

Our roots

Where Let’s Kite comes from

The kiting community in Switzerland counts more than 15,000 riders, around 5,000 of them in French-speaking Switzerland. It has been active for years, notably through a Facebook group created in September 2012 under the name kitesurf & snowkite en Suisse romande, which became “Let’s Kite” in 2019.

Kiting is still a quiet discipline, often discovered on holiday in milder latitudes. Yet Switzerland offers conditions in summer as well as in winter. By making spots more visible and giving reliable wind information, Let’s Kite helps riders go out more often and helps the sport become better known.

We work closely with the Kitesurfeurs Association: we share the same goal, promoting a responsible practice, and therefore the widest possible one.
