The Le Pont spot is divided into two parts, the first is a large plateau that starts almost at the edge of Lake Joux and the second is a slope that gradually climbs up the mountain, the Dent de Vaulion. The upper part of the spot is quite steep. The upper part of the spot is ideal for your first slope flights (To be tested in not too strong and regular wind). Due to the slope, this part requires a better level than the lower part of the spot. The lower part of the spot is completely flat and rather large, it's an ideal spot for beginners

Technical details of Le Pont - Vallée de Joux spot
Spot type
Normal (Car access at spot edge)
Altitude
1020m
Parking
Do not park at the edge of the spot on the road or near the farm. There is a parking lot 50m after the roundabout that goes up to the Col du Molendruz. Do not park at the top of the spot either, this is to maintain good relations with the neighborhood
Hazards
Some stakes here and there and a significant wind acceleration at the top of the spot. And since it's a southwest spot (depression), it's not uncommon to have snow showers coming in, which can increase the wind strength very quickly (Similar to a squall on the lake)
Wind specificities
This is a spot that only works with southwest winds. The wind must really enter along the axis of the Joux Valley, otherwise it's either very turbulent or there is no wind.
