School Presentation
La Bouverie École de Surf is a surf school based at La Bouverie beach on the Côte Sauvage of Charente-Maritime, between Royan and the island of Oléron, near La Palmyre. It holds the French Surf School (École Française de Surf) label, with the 2026 edition shown on its website.
Lessons last 2 hours and are open to all levels from age 7. The price includes a qualified instructor, a suitable board and wetsuit, and insurance. A 10% discount applies from three people of the same family when booking online.
The school also rents equipment: surfboards, wetsuits and, in summer, bodyboards for ages 6-14 under adult supervision. In July and August the gear is available right on the beach. From April to November, rentals are booked by phone and delivered to the La Bouverie car park, where guests are welcomed next to the school's van.
