École de Surf de la Côte Sauvage

The École de Surf de la Côte Sauvage (ESCS) has been teaching since 2003 at La Bouverie beach in La Palmyre, and presents itself as the first surf school on the Côte Sauvage. Group lessons last 2.5 hours including 2 hours in the water, in groups of up to 8 students per instructor, from age 7 (swimming ability required), in several languages, from the discovery session to the 5-day course, equipment included (board, wetsuit, lycra). The school also offers solo or duo private lessons, private groups of 3 to 6 people, a 3-day mini-course and a 5-day course, a Surf Club of 10 sessions usable over the season, hen and stag parties, groups and seminars on quote and a morning surf plus afternoon electric fatbike formula in the Coubre forest. Rental of surfboards, bodyboards and wetsuits is by the hour or the day, and an electric 4x4 cart carries equipment to the sand.

Instructors are qualified (including a state-qualified instructor) and lifeguards. The school is open from April to November, 7 days a week, with slots set by tides and swell and sent by SMS the day before.
