Coco Surf

Coco Surf is a surf school on the Côte Sauvage in Charente-Maritime, run by Louise and Morgan, who welcome families, individuals and groups from April to November. Lessons are given in French and English (Morgan also speaks a little German).

Children are accepted from age 7, in groups limited to 8 surfers; baby surfers can practise in small waves with a parent. Beginners and children stay in waist-deep water, except in very small waves. The school offers lessons, equipment rental and advice.

Depending on swell and sandbanks, lessons take place on the Côte Sauvage (17 km of beach, suited to small to medium swells), in the Royan area for medium to strong swells at high tide, or at Vert-Bois, Grand-Village and Saint-Trojan for all levels.
