School Presentation

Mumu Surf School offers surf lessons in Mahabalipuram, about 50 km from Chennai in Tamil Nadu, and in Agonda in south Goa. The school is based in Mahabalipuram's fishermen's colony.

Lessons last 1 hour 30 minutes at beginner level (safety, board handling, standing up, first waves close to the beach) or intermediate level (paddling out behind the breakers, catching green waves on your own). The price includes the board, the instructor and a rash guard. Packages of 5 or 10 sessions are available.

You can also rent boards (soft or hard top, with leash and rash guard) and have yours repaired; the school runs a cafe. It is best to call or write before coming so the lesson can be prepared.
