Surf Turf Kovalam

Surf Turf is a surf school at Kovalam on the Bay of Bengal, south of Chennai. It was founded in 2012 by Arun Vasu, president of the Surfing Federation of India. It also has bases at Mahabalipuram and Varkala.

At Kovalam, it teaches surfing, stand-up paddling and kayaking at all levels. A shop sells boards and swimwear.

On site: four beachfront sea-view rooms, an ocean-front cafe serving continental and local dishes, and a bar, the Sandbar, overlooking the surfers and kayakers.
