sail&surf Pelzerhaken

sail&surf Pelzerhaken is a wind sports school that has been running for over ten years at Pelzerhaken on the Bay of Lübeck, an hour's drive from Hamburg and Kiel. It is a VDWS school, and station manager Jule also trains instructors for the federation. The spot is known for large, shallow sandbanks where you can stand: safe for learning, and ramps for good riders in strong wind, with usable conditions in almost every wind direction.

The offer covers wing surfing (wing foil), windsurfing up to the VDWS licence, kitesurfing (taster, safety module, basic and private modules), SIT kiteboarding, catamaran sailing with a VDWS certificate, Optimist sailing for kids and stand up paddling. The centre also rents windsurf, paddle, catamaran and Optimist equipment. Surf and kite equipment is from Naish. Kite students are given a wetsuit, impact vest, harness and helmet.

On site: shop with reception, group offers (stag and hen parties, children's birthdays, companies, school classes), a "Chill & Grill" and a beach bar. The school is in winter break; the 2027 season starts on 1 May 2027 and bookings open on 1 November 2026.

Station, rental and courses: May, June and September, Monday to Friday 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm, Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 6 pm; July and August, daily 10 am to 6 pm. Shop and reception: April to September daily 10 am to 6 pm, October to March daily 10 am to 4 pm.
