Wassersport Grömitz

Wassersport Grömitz is a water sports school run by Jörg Eschenbach, teaching since 1978 on the beach at Grömitz, right next to the marina on the Baltic Sea. It is a VDWS member and stresses safety and teaching quality; its equipment is regularly renewed.

The programme covers windsurfing (junior courses from age 6, basic courses, advanced courses with gybes, harness, beach start, water start and duck jibes, private lessons, licence exams), catamaran, dinghy sailing (from age 7), O'pen BIC, stand up paddling and kayaking. It also rents equipment and offers equipment storage, family offers, youth trips, group and company outings and an "Aloha" lounge where customers can eat between sessions. The station has four beach volleyball courts.

The season is planned from 1 April to 31 October, seven days a week: an open station door means the team is there. Note that driving on the promenade is forbidden; the easiest is to navigate to Grömitz marina, where a large free car park is two minutes on foot.
