Surf & SUP-Schule Niendorf/Ostsee

Surf & SUP-Schule Niendorf/Ostsee is a water sports centre on the beach at Niendorf, part of the municipality of Timmendorfer Strand on the Bay of Lübeck. The school is recognised by the VDWS and teaches windsurfing and stand up paddling; wing surfing is also on the programme.

The beginner windsurfing course lasts 10 hours: it starts on Mondays and Thursdays at 2 pm with a two-hour session, and the following four sessions are arranged with the group, usually in the morning. It is open from age 8. After the course you can take an advanced lesson or rent a board; experienced riders can use performance sails and freeride boards. Wetsuits are lent free of charge for lessons and rentals.

For stand up paddling, lessons are given by licensed instructors (a fixed slot on Saturdays at 12:30 pm, booking required), covering the basics and paddling technique. The school also hosts group outings, company events and school project weeks. A six-section trampoline is set up on site.

May, June and September: daily 10 am to 6 pm. July and August: daily 9 am to 7 pm. Parking at the large car park P5 next to the EDEKA supermarket.
