Surf & SUP-Schule Timmendorfer Strand

Surf & SUP-Schule Timmendorfer Strand is one of three stations (with Niendorf/Ostsee and Sierksdorf) of the same school on the Bay of Lübeck, about ten minutes from the A1 motorway. It is a VDWS member with qualified, certified instructors. The Timmendorfer Strand station is at the beach access at Strandallee 11.

The school offers windsurfing, stand up paddling and wing surfing lessons, equipment rental for beginners and advanced riders, and catamaran courses. The beginner windsurfing course takes 10 hours: it starts on Mondays and Thursdays at 2 pm with two-hour sessions, and the next four are arranged with the group, usually in the morning. The shallow entry makes learning easy.

Wing surfing has been on the programme since the 2021 season. The beginner course (two 2-hour sessions, maximum five students) covers equipment, rigging, checking wing and board, and steering. A motorboat provides safety cover during lessons. Students can then book wing foil sessions, first towed slowly behind the boat, and prepare for the VDWS basic licence. On site: trampoline, beach chairs and equipment rental.
