MG Kitesurf Dakhla

MG Kitesurf Dakhla is a kitesurfing and wingfoiling school founded by Mohammed Guilich, known as Momo, a Moroccan rider who sailed a number of spots abroad before setting up his own operation on the Dakhla lagoon. The school runs private and semi-private lessons only, with no group format, and positions itself as a cheaper alternative to the centres attached to the lagoon hotels.

Full equipment is included in every lesson — helmet, buoyancy aid, harness, wetsuit, kite or wing, and board — and the school collects its students from their hotel by 4×4 and drives them to whichever spot best suits the day's conditions. It also rents kitesurfing and wingfoiling gear by the day or the week, with optional damage-and-loss cover, and runs trips out to the coves and quiet beaches of the peninsula.

The school also sells week-long packages combining a hotel room on full board, ten hours of semi-private kitesurfing or wingfoiling lessons, pool and gym access, and airport transfers. Booking and payment are handled online on the website, which advertises a 10% discount on the hotel's public rate.

Monday to Friday 9 am to 6 pm, Saturday 9 am to 5 pm, Sunday 10 am to 5 pm.

No opening season is published. The website's FAQ only states that the best time to ride in Dakhla runs from May to September, which describes the spot rather than the school's own opening dates.
