Dakhla One Kite

Dakhla One Kite is a small IKO-certified kiteboarding school, founded and run by two local instructors, Simo (senior IKO level 3 instructor) and Mehdi (IKO level 2), who together claim over twenty years of teaching on the spot. Its address is in town, in the Hay El Aouda district, but the school has no fixed base by the water: it takes students to Dakhla's calm, uncrowded stretches of water, and transfer to the spot is included in the lesson price.

The approach is small groups — three to four people maximum in a group lesson, two in semi-private — and time on the water rather than waiting on the beach. The instructor stays in radio contact throughout the session. Equipment is provided and advertised as North and Duotone: kite, wetsuit, helmet and impact vest. An IKO certificate is issued at the end of the course. Lessons are taught in French, English and Arabic, with administrative follow-up also handled in Dutch.

The school takes complete beginners as well as experienced riders working on their jumps, and recommends a 12-hour package for a first course. Sessions are scheduled as flexibly as possible around the wind. Insurance is not included: the site refers each rider to their own travel policy. The booking form also offers help with accommodation, although no priced package is published.
