Gone Surfing Crete is a boutique windsurf and wingfoil center located directly on Kouremenos Beach, in the east of Crete near Palekastro. The spot is known for its all-day Meltemi wind blowing over flat, wave-free water, suitable for all levels.
The center describes itself as owner-run, with few guests and personal attention. It sits at the northern end of the bay, where the wind is most consistent, in side-shore conditions. Wingfoil has been part of the offer since 2019.
On offer: windsurf lessons for beginners, intermediate and advanced riders, Duotone equipment rental (boards, sails, wings, foils), 3-hour wing foil lessons with equipment included (one hour of wing control on the beach, then foiling on the water with powerboat support), and equipment storage. Coach-to-rider communication on the water uses a Forward WIP radio system.
Instructors are described as experienced and certified in windsurfing. Lesson equipment is Fanatic and Duotone; wing foil rental includes a wetsuit and an ION life vest.
