School Presentation
Algarve Kite Center is a kitesurf and wingfoil school in the Lagos area, based in Odiáxere. It teaches in the Ria de Alvor lagoon, with shallow water and a sandy bottom, and a learner area kept apart from the advanced riders' zone.
Lessons are given in groups (max 4 students, 2 kites, 1 instructor), semi-private (2 students) or private. The centre rents kitesurf gear (kite, bar, board, harness, wetsuit) to independent riders, provides rescue-boat supervision and runs a kite and board shop with equipment repair. The website lists Core kites for sale (new and second-hand).
Wingfoil is offered as semi-private and private lessons and as rental. The Nortada, a north-westerly thermal wind, blows mostly from late spring to October.
