OBX Remix Kite & Wing Repair, kitesurf craftsman in Salvo

OBX Remix is a kite and wing repair workshop in Salvo on Hatteras Island (Outer Banks, North Carolina). It is run by Hank West, a kite and wing repair specialist who learned to sew and also works with metal.

The workshop patches rips and fixes leaks with a quick turnaround: customers describe a kite repaired in two hours, or a wing handed back to the carrier the same day it arrived. Mail-in repairs are accepted ("you send it, we mend it").

OBX Remix also makes bags from recycled kite cloth, one-of-a-kind pieces in varied designs, and houses a small art gallery. For a repair the website suggests texting; for a product, email is preferred.
