Overview

Jordan River is a legendary surf and kitesurf spot located on the south coast of Vancouver Island, about 1h west of Victoria. The spot faces southwest toward the Juan de Fuca Strait and receives Pacific swells. It's primarily a wave spot, very popular with surfers. The village is tiny and remote.

Hazards

Powerful waves with shore break. Rocky and pebbly bottom — watch your falls. Rip currents. Surf spot — surfers have priority, respect line-up rules. Remote — rescue services far away. Very cold water (5/4 wetsuit required). Floating logs.
