La Tène is listed, with Yvonand, as a popular kitesurfing spot on Lake Neuchâtel, with relatively flat water. The joran blows regularly, usually in the afternoon. Kiting is allowed on the Neuchâtel part of the lake, keeping 200 m from other users (2003 ordinance, to be rechecked).
