The Nid du Crô is a nice spot in Neuchâtel, large parking, nice lawn to prepare, it would be the ideal spot if getting into the water wasn't so tense. Indeed, you'll need to descend large rock slabs with your kite at zenith and your board under your arm. Once in the water, you'll need to move away quickly with body dragging or risk being pushed back by a wave. Fun, right?
The kite launch is done on the lawn (as long as it's not full of swimmers, walkers), and then with the kite well at zenith (slightly towards open water), you need to descend the slabs to the water (quite intense, expert level). Once in the water, stay humble and do some body dragging towards open water before doing your waterstart. While descending the slabs, don't lean on the bar, or you risk your kite pulling into traction. Get help with your board if needed. But in any case, if you're not feeling it, go to St-Blaise, it's easier.

On the water, it's southwest, so potentially nice waves and a beautiful body of water. In case of trouble, you can reach the shore in the bay below the swimming pool. Be careful, this area is sheltered from the wind and the final approach will probably be done swimming.
Pour le retour à terre, gardr toujours bien votre aile au zénith et remonter tranquillement les dalles. Ensuite c'est mieux de vous déplacer et de poser l'aile direction du lac.
Parking (paid) at the Nid du Crô swimming pool. Park properly as the bus passes regularly.
Southwest wind spot. The southwest can be regular all day, generally in fair weather. It can also be gusty when squalls approach. If it's all black upwind of you, it's time to be careful because the wind will probably get stronger! The spot also works in bise (northeast), but it's more irregular than at the other end of the lake.
The dangers of this spot are: swimmers in summer (the area is popular), and getting into the water on the rock slabs.
