Rineia is an island about 7 km west of Mykonos (Cyclades), reachable only by boat. A kiter rode the bays there in 25 to 35 knots of north wind in 2013 (a single forum report); regulations are unclear. The meltemi blows from the north in the Cyclades, from mid-May to the end of September, in episodes of 3 to 7 days.
