The spot works in NE to E winds. The bay offers flat water protected from swell. Tide influences water level and currents in the bay. Avoid peak shipping traffic times. Respect authorised sailing zones.

The NE wind (summer trade wind) enters the bay and creates rideable conditions. The bay can channel or block wind depending on direction. East winds also work. Wind often lighter in the bay than on open sea. Rideable year-round.
Shipping traffic (cargo ships, boats). Port zones prohibited for recreational sailing. Strong tidal currents. Bull sharks present in the bay. Murky water with reduced visibility. Never sail in the shipping channel.
