Parking

Access from the Bluff road south of Durban. Beachside parking. Quiet residential area. Fewer amenities than central Durban but restaurants and shops available.

Wind specificities

The dominant wind is the NE (summer trade wind), blowing side-onshore. The Bluff (headland) can influence wind locally, creating accelerations or sheltered zones. S to SSW winds also work on this coast section. Season: year-round, best October to April.

Exposed reef at low tide. Coastal currents. Shore break in large swell. Sharks despite nets. Jellyfish (bluebottles). Sea urchins on the reef. Local surfers, respect zones.
