About the craftsman

SMTH Shapes is a surfboard manufacturer based in Durban, owned by father and son Graham and Jordy Smith. Graham Smith has been shaping since 1969 and founded Graham Smith Surfboards (G-Force) in 1978; Jordy Smith, a professional surfer from Durban, takes part in developing the models. The brand presents itself as an established manufacturer of premium surfboards and announces patented technologies (carbon T-Bar stringers, injection technology).

The range includes performance models (Flat-Jack, V-12, Hooligan, Volume…), fun and retro shapes (Fat Monk, Goldfish, Retro Fish, Twin Trailer…) and a "Wing Series". The website offers custom orders, a surfboard advisor and a volume calculator; the company also has an international site based in Portugal.
