Ukumehame Beach Park is a kitesurfing spot located on the west coast of Maui, between Lahaina and Maalaea. This spot is renowned for its powerful thermal winds that funnel through the valley between West Maui Mountain and Haleakala. Conditions are often windy in the afternoon with choppy water. The bottom is rocky in places, requiring some caution. The spot is suited to intermediate to advanced riders.
