McGreggor Point / Maui kitesurf, wingfoil and windsurf spot
United States · Hawaii
Overview
McGreggor Point is a kitesurfing spot on a headland on Maui's south coast, between Kihei and Lahaina. This cape is famous for wind acceleration in the corridor between the West Maui Mountains and Haleakala. Trade winds are channeled and amplified, creating very strong and consistent wind conditions. The spot is exposed to the open ocean with significant swell and waves. Advanced level required due to strong wind, waves, and reef. Whale watching point in winter.
