Overview

Kefalos is the most renowned kitesurfing spot on Kos, located at the southwestern tip of the island in the Dodecanese. This long south-facing bay benefits from the Meltemi wind wrapping around the western point of the island, creating ideal cross-shore to side-onshore conditions. The sandy beach stretches for several hundred meters with turquoise shallow water for the first few meters. The spot works primarily from June to September when the Meltemi blows consistently between 15 and 30 knots.
