Kannon Beach Wind & Surf

Kannon Beach is a surf shop on Lawrencetown Road, minutes from Lawrencetown Beach near Halifax. Its website says "since 1994" and presents it as Nova Scotia's longest-standing surf shop.

It stocks surfboards (shortboards, mid-lengths, longboards, used boards), stand up paddleboards and paddles, wetsuits including winter suits, accessories and apparel, plus a windsurf and foil section with boards, sails, masts, booms and harnesses. Starboard and O'Neill are among the brands sold, alongside Firewire, Xcel, FCS and Futures.

The shop also rents gear and gives surf lessons (beginner, private and kids' sessions) at Lawrencetown Beach.

Monday to Friday 9 am to 6 pm; Saturday and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm.
