About
South Beach Surf Shop is a surf shop in South Beach, just south of Newport on the Oregon coast. It sells new, used, custom and vintage surfboards, plus wetsuits and apparel.
The shop rents surfboards, wetsuits, kayaks and stand up paddleboards, and repairs boards. It also runs a used-board buy-back program, so a visitor can buy a board for the length of a trip and return it for a partial refund.
The surf school gives private and small-group lessons by appointment, with board and wetsuit included. Instructors are NSSIA certified, and the lesson spot depends on surf conditions and skill level. The shop also offers video coaching and organizes a South Beach jetty clean-up on the last Saturday of every month.
