Beverly Beach is a kitesurfing spot located in Beverly Beach State Park, on Oregon's central coast between Yaquina Head and Devil's Punchbowl. This state park offers a long sandy beach framed by spectacular coastal cliffs. The beach is exposed to North Pacific swells and benefits from reliable northwest thermal winds in summer. Park facilities (camping, restrooms, parking) make access easy and comfortable.

On the water

Cold water year-round (10-14°C), 4/3 wetsuit essential in summer, 5/3 in winter. Regular waves of 1 to 2 meters, with larger sets during northwest swells. Sandy bottom across most of the beach. Rip currents present, especially on outgoing tide. Chop is moderate to strong depending on thermal wind intensity. Conditions best at mid-tide.

Hazards

Sneaker waves: unpredictable rogue waves on this beach. Powerful rip currents on outgoing tide. Coastal cliffs at beach edges: avoid riding too close. Massive driftwood on the beach, dangerous in case of collision. Very cold water risking hypothermia. Coastal fog can reduce visibility suddenly. Respect the state park swimming zones.
