Experience Surf School

Experience Surf School was founded in 2016 by Manu Portet, a former pro surfer. The school is based on Pavillon Royal beach in Bidart, between Biarritz and Saint-Jean-de-Luz, at the foot of the cliffs. It emphasises small groups, a safe setting and maximum time in the water.

The offer includes group lessons, private lessons, groups and seminars, surf guiding with a local guide, introduction, improvement, video analysis, stand-up paddle and a baby surfer section from age 2. Equipment is provided and teaching is given by a state-certified instructor.

The team includes Manu Portet (manager and head instructor), Mathias Lecacheur (instructor) and Maider (reception). The school is open daily from June to September and by appointment in the off season. Displayed partners: Yelloh Village Ilbarritz, Sooruz, Bonanza Collective and Joyu surf shack.
