Bidart Surf Academy is a family-run surf school operating from a small hut on the sand of Ilbarritz beach, on the border between Bidart and Biarritz. It is labelled École Française de Surf and welcomes children, beginners, intermediate and advanced surfers, up to coaching.

The offer includes 1 hour 30 group lessons, 1-hour "crevettes" lessons for the youngest, private and improvement lessons, as well as stand-up paddle, sunrise or sunset sessions, photo and video services and group packages with accommodation. Equipment is available for rent. The website is available in French and English.

All instructors hold the French state instructor diploma (BE 1st degree) and continuing first-aid training; the founder, Jean-Robert, coaches the Pôle France surf squad. Displayed partners are Vissla, Bidarte and SPY.
