Coco Kite School is an IKO centre on the beaches of Mayapo, near Riohacha, in La Guajira, northern Colombia. Founded by Coralie, a Frenchwoman who has lived in the region for six years, the school presents itself as the only French-speaking kitesurf school in the area; lessons are given in French, English, Spanish and Portuguese by IKO instructors.
The spot is a shallow lagoon with a wide beach and steady wind of 18 to 35 knots from December to September. The school offers private kitesurf lessons from beginner to advanced (2 to 12 hours, with IKO certification, equipment, radio and insurance included), wing foil and kite foil lessons, equipment rental (2026 Eleveight and Ozone kites, checked weekly), assistance for first independent sessions, downwinders and kite trips across La Guajira (Cabo de la Vela, Punta Gallinas).
It can also arrange accommodation: private rooms in its beachfront Coco Kite House, or in partner hotels in Mayapo. 2% of revenue goes to a charity helping indigenous children.

Private room at Coco Kite House: 160,000 COP for one person, 220,000 COP for two.
