School Presentation

Kite Addict Colombia is a family-run Colombian-German kitesurf school based in Mayapo, on the Caribbean coast of La Guajira, about 20 minutes from Riohacha. It has been teaching since 2010. It began at Cabo de la Vela, teaching local children to kite, work that continues today through the Jouktai Foundation.

The school is IKO certified. Kitesurf, wing foil and kite foil lessons are given privately or in small groups, with radio coaching, a rescue boat and full equipment provided (accident insurance included). The centre also rents gear, runs downwinders, e-foil and stand-up paddle sessions, and organises kite trips to Cabo de la Vela and Punta Gallinas.

On site, a shop is the Duotone and Ion distributor for Colombia (new and used gear, water wear, accessories, repairs) and also sells Cogua Custom boards. Lessons are given in English or Spanish.
