School Presentation

Valampuri Kite Resort is a family-run stay on the Kalpitiya lagoon with its own kitesurf school. The resort has been open since 2016 and its school has been IKO-affiliated since 2017.

Lessons are given by IKO-certified instructors, privately or in groups, with an IKO certificate at the end. The centre rents Duotone gear, runs a rescue boat during lessons, offers kite storage, and organises boat trips and downwinders.

On site: a pool, a seafood restaurant, chalets, cabanas and a dorm. Non-kiting companions can kayak, do yoga, watch dolphins or join a Wilpattu safari. The website is available in seven languages.

Wind blows from May to October, stronger in summer, and from December to March, when it is gentler.
