Rabat Surf Club

Rabat Surf Club is the oldest and the busiest of the watersports outfits on Oudayas beach, at the foot of the Kasbah ramparts, where the Bouregreg river meets the Atlantic. Its address, "surfclub n° 01", places it in the row of beachfront units refurbished by the Rabat development agency.

The club describes itself as an association, a "club monde de la glisse" specialising in surfing and bodyboarding. Rabat's tourist board presents it as open to beginners and experienced riders alike, with qualified instructors, and also credits it with kayaking and jet-ski outings. It claims some twenty years of existence and remains by far the most reviewed address on the whole coast between Casablanca and Rabat, with over five hundred reviews and an average rating of 4.9.

Its former website, rabatsurfclub.com, is offline. Its Facebook page, followed by more than 4,500 people, and its listing with Rabat's tourist board are now its only shop windows; neither publishes opening hours or prices, and contact goes through the phone.

No opening hours are published. Visitor reviews describe a team of instructors on site all year round, but the club itself publishes no calendar: call before travelling.
