The Club Nautique de la Plage de Rabat occupies one of the units lined up on Oudayas beach, at the foot of the kasbah, where the Bouregreg meets the Atlantic. It is listed under the initials CNPR in the register of associations of the Royal Moroccan Sailing Federation, under the Arabic name النادي البحري لشاطئ الرباط, and is one of the four federated associations in the conurbation.
Originally a sailing and rowing club, it has opened up to board sports and now runs supervised ninety-minute surf sessions on Oudayas beach, open to beginners and experienced surfers alike, equipment included. Participants must be able to swim, and wearing the safety gear supplied by the club is compulsory. When the weather forces a cancellation, the session is rescheduled or refunded in full.
Sessions can be booked singly or as packages, for one person, a couple or a group of five, with coaching charged as an extra. The club's former website is no longer online: contact is by telephone or in person.
