Frozen Palm Tree

Frozen Palm Tree (formerly Amager Kiteskole) is a kitesurfing, wing foil, windsurf and paddle school on Amager, south-east of Copenhagen. It describes itself as Denmark's largest kite school and claims more than 15 years of teaching. The shop at Amager Strandvej 130N acts as the meeting point.

Kitesurf lessons run from 1 April to 1 November, usually at Café Sylten or Sydvestpynten, with theory online before the first lesson, all equipment, certified instructors and a wind guarantee (lessons are rescheduled if there is no wind). Formats range from private lessons (one student per instructor) to semi-private (two) and group lessons (three to four); lessons stay valid for 12 months. Wing foil lessons take place at Amager Strandpark, meeting in front of the shop, daily from 1 April to 1 November; the school also offers windsurf, paddle and spearfishing courses, and kite trips to Sicily and Brazil.

The shop sells kitesurf, wing foil, paddle, windsurf and wakeboard gear, wetsuits and clothing, with Europe-wide delivery on the online shop; equipment rental is also available.

Shop: Monday and Tuesday 10 am to 3 pm, Wednesday and Thursday 1 pm to 5.30 pm, Friday 10 am to 7 pm, Saturday 10 am to 2 pm, closed Sunday. Lessons from 1 April to 1 November.
