Kitekollektivet – København Surfcenter

Kitekollektivet is a kitesurfing, wing foil, windsurfing and paddle school on the island of Amager, south of Copenhagen. It is run by Alexander and Kent (Copenhagen Sport Adventures ApS) and operates the "København Surfcenter" water sports centre at Kalvebodvej 250, a short walk from the Sydvestpynten spot.

Lessons take place on flat water with a sandy bottom where you can stand almost everywhere. In kitesurfing the school offers a taster lesson, private lessons, buddy lessons and group lessons, from 2 to 11 hours, with all equipment, an online theory folder and a 100% wind guarantee (the lesson is rescheduled if the wind is missing or too strong). In wing, a 3-hour beginner course (up to 6 students per instructor) prepares for the wing foil course, in small groups of 3. Instructors are certified by Dansk Sejlunion and the school teaches to its "DS Kitekurser" standard; the IKO logo also appears on the site.

The centre has a café, a lounge, a shop, changing rooms with showers, kite, paddle and windsurf rental, and a sauna. The school also runs events for school classes, companies and stag or hen parties.

Centre opening hours in September: Friday 12 pm to 5 pm, Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 6 pm; also open by appointment.
