Surf Shack Maui

Surf Shack Maui is a surf school in Kīhei on the south coast of Maui, Hawaii, right on the beach at Kalama Park, one of the island's best spots for beginners. The team has been teaching for many years; instructors are trained in CPR and first aid.

Surf lessons last two hours, in groups of up to six students (ages 9 and up) or as private lessons (ages 5 and up). The school guarantees you will stand up in your first lesson or the next one is free. Board, rash guard and booties are included. It also offers stand-up paddle lessons and a 6.5-hour combined kayak, snorkel and surf outing at Makena.

A beachside counter rents soft-tops, SUP boards and hard-top boards, Monday to Saturday.

Surf lessons Monday to Saturday at 8am and 10:30am. Rentals: Monday to Saturday, 7am – 12:30pm (except holidays).
