Jamie O'Brien Surf Experience Wailea

Jamie O'Brien Surf Experience Wailea is the Maui branch of professional surfer Jamie O'Brien's surf school, based at the Fairmont Kea Lani hotel on Maui's south shore in Hawaii. Beginner surf lessons take place in the gentle waves of Polo Beach.

Lessons meet at the school's location in the hotel, from where a shuttle takes students to Polo Beach, ten minutes away, with towels, water and media viewing; the school says it is the only one on Maui to offer this service. Surfboard, leash and rash guard are provided, plus a wetsuit if needed. Groups are kept small and children under 10 must have their own instructor.

Three surf formats are offered (semi-private for families or small groups, group and private), along with paddle boarding, kayaking and scuba. The school belongs to a network with other locations on Oahu (North Shore and Waikiki), in Coronado and in Montauk.
