Valz Surf Lessons

Valz Surf Lessons is a surf school on Galveston Island, on the Texas Gulf Coast, that describes itself as the only female-owned surf school on the island. Lessons are held at 41st Street on Seawall Boulevard, year-round weather permitting.

One-hour lessons are one-on-one or in a group, from 9 am to noon, for beginners aged 8 and over who must swim well. Each student gets a long instruction board and an experienced instructor trained in water safety who stays in the water with them. Lessons are paid in advance by PayPal or Venmo.

Lessons daily from 9 am to noon, by appointment, depending on season and weather. Lesson length: 1 hour.
