Galveston Seawall kitesurf, wingfoil and surf spot
United States · Texas
Overview
Galveston Seawall is a kitesurf spot along the famous Seawall Boulevard on Galveston Island, facing the Gulf of Mexico. The Seawall, built after the devastating 1900 hurricane, protects the city and offers access to the Gulf side beach. The beach is narrow in places and launching can be technical due to the seawall. The onshore SE wind is reliable in season. It's the most accessible surf/kite spot from Houston (about 1 hour drive).
