Session Surf Maroc

Session Surf Maroc is a surf camp set on the heights of Tamraght, some fifteen kilometres north of Agadir and a ten-minute drive from Taghazout. The house faces the ocean, a ten-minute walk from Imourane beach and five minutes from the first spots: Devil's Rock, Banana Beach, Panorama. The school teaches surfing across the region and, on Agadir beach, has been teaching kitesurfing since 2017.

Instructors are described as holding an international qualification or a certificate from the Royal Moroccan Surfing Federation, with one coach for every six students. Surf sessions follow the day's conditions across the region's spots: Anchor Point, La Source, Panorama, Banana Beach, Hash Point, Killer Point, Devil's Rock and Palm Beach. Kitesurfing is taught in pairs and covers rigging, launching and landing the kite, body dragging, the water start and the first runs, then for more advanced riders tacking, upwind riding and first jumps. Sessions usually take place in the afternoon on the thermal breeze, on Agadir beach and sometimes at Taghazout or Imourane; the school teaches riders from 40 kg upwards.

Stays are sold as eight days and seven nights, full board: breakfast at the camp from 7.30am, lunch on the beach, a Moroccan dinner, unlimited water, fruit and biscuits, five hours of lessons a day with Friday off, equipment provided, transport to the spots, and airport transfers on packages of six days or more. The house has a roof terrace, a shared lounge, a restaurant, a palm-ringed pool and a garden. Yoga, hammam and massage, and excursions (Paradise Valley, quad, buggy, camel, horse riding, jet ski) round out the offer.

No opening hours and no season are published. Stays run over eight days and seven nights, with five hours of lessons a day and Friday off. Kitesurf lesson times depend on wind and tide: the school says the best conditions come in the afternoon, on the thermal breeze.
