Maroc Surf Camp

Maroc Surf Camp is a surf house in the Hay Tissaliuine district, in the heart of Tamraght, a Berber village of Taghazout bay about twenty kilometres from Agadir and less than fifteen minutes from Devil's Rock beach. The house describes itself as one of the original surf houses in the bay and combines a surf school, accommodation and a yoga studio.

The camp is run by Dalil, born in Agadir, who came back from Southern California in 2021 after decades in hospitality ; he speaks French, English, Spanish, Italian and Darija. The accommodation has 11 rooms, private or shared, decorated in traditional Moroccan style — the house states it offers neither dorms nor bunk beds. A yoga shala open to the ocean occupies the rooftop and can be booked privately for a retreat.

Every package includes accommodation, three meals a day, two daily surf lessons, equipment, transport to the spots, transfers to and from Agadir airport and a visit to the Agadir souks. Stays can be rounded out with yoga, a hammam, a massage, a camel ride or excursions. The camp recommends the day trip to the point at Imsouane for longboarding, and also surfs Tamri and the neighbouring spots.

The best surf season advertised by the camp runs from mid-October to May : beginner spots stay workable while the advanced spots fire with 2.5 to 3 m waves.
