Banana Surf Morocco

Banana Surf Morocco is a surf school and camp in Tihourine, in the hamlet everyone calls Banana Village : a Moroccan village set in the middle of a banana grove, in the municipality of Aourir, between Agadir and Taghazout. The camp grew out of its founders' wish to share their relationship with the ocean, and claims a cultural approach as much as a sporting one.

Teaching is handled by a team of local surfers. The school emphasises teaching quality and safety, and works with beginners and experienced surfers alike : the day plays out on the spots of southern Morocco, picked according to the conditions. The camp runs its own surf house for accommodation.

Three formats are published : surf coaching, a personalised progression stay ; surf guiding, where the team takes you each day to the most suitable spot without formal teaching ; and a surf and yoga format, open to practitioners and newcomers alike. The camp states it welcomes solo travellers, families and groups all year round.
