Heliophora Dakhla Riders Camp presents itself as the first eco-lodge of Dakhla bay: eco-bungalows blended into the dunes, open since 2002, on the shore of an unspoilt lagoon at the southern end of the bay. The place was conceived by Rachid Roussafi, a pioneer of local kitesurfing, and claims a « barefoot luxury » approach: nothing superfluous, a rhythm set by wind, sun and tides, and as much room given to yoga and slow living as to the water.
The camp's Riders Club teaches and runs kitesurfing, wingfoiling, windsurfing, wakeboarding and e-foiling. The spot is advertised as flat, with wind 300 days a year and boat safety cover; equipment is renewed every year and the coaching staff is described as IKO- and VDWS-certified. Courses run from two to fourteen hours, in groups, semi-private, private, or private on foil.
The camp rounds out the day with a restaurant, yoga sessions and a « slow life » programme. Bookings go through an online platform and WhatsApp.
