New Spirit Dakhla sits on the western shore of the Dakhla lagoon, along the P1100 road. The place used to be called Dakhla Spirit: taken over and refurbished, it reopened under its current name, and the old dakhlaspirit.com domain now redirects to the new site. It has 30 bungalows — 16 standard, 5 deluxe and 9 premium sea view — with a pool, a pool bar and the Mambo Beach Bar.
The water sports centre is billed as powered by KBC World and presents itself as an official F-One centre: the brand's kites, boards, foils and wings, with Manera wetsuits. Instructors are VDWS certified and teach kitesurfing, wingfoiling and pocket wing, from the first flight of a kite to advanced riding, as private lessons, semi-private lessons, groups of up to four and children's courses.
The base also handles rental, servicing and storage of your own gear — lockable boxes, overnight security, launch and landing assistance, rescue boat — and runs guided downwinders to the White Dune, the Speed Spot, the wave spot and Dragon Island, plus surf outings on windless days. Storing equipment in the rooms is not allowed.
