Dreamkite Dakhla

Dreamkite is a kitesurfing school on the shore of the lagoon at kilometre 25, and one of the first to settle on the spot. It houses its guests in its own eco-domes, built by its own teams in 2023 from local materials, powered entirely by solar and each with a private bathroom: rooms for two, three or four people, full board. It is also the base of the kitesurfing holiday that UCPA sells in Dakhla — the French association acting only as the tour operator.

Stays run a week and include ten half-days of coaching in level groups, gear included: kitesurfing from the first theory session through body dragging, waterstart and first runs, improvement courses, freeride and freestyle programmes with filmed coaching and evening debriefs, and wing foiling with access to foil and strapless surf. Longer programmes include a downwinder to the White Dune and a night bivouacking under the stars. When the wind drops, the day turns to self-reliance workshops (self-rescue, repair, right of way), stand up paddle, surf, bodyboard, kayak and a boat trip to Dragon Island.

The centre holds a gear room (kite, surf, paddle, bodyboard), changing rooms with individual lockers, rinsing tanks and hot showers, a pool and its terrace over the lagoon, a dining room serving tagine and couscous, a bar, a shop and a massage room specialising in kitesurfers' recovery.
