Dakhla Kite Planet

Dakhla Kite Planet (DKP) is a kitesurf school based at the speed spot on the Dakhla lagoon, presenting itself as an IKO affiliated centre since 2017. It teaches kitesurfing from absolute beginner to experienced rider along the official IKO progression (levels 1 to 5), with instructors described as IKO level 2 and 3 certified and more than ten years of teaching behind them. Lessons are given in English, French and Spanish.

Teaching is done over walkie-talkie, the student keeping radio contact with the instructor throughout the session, and the shuttle to Dakhla's various spots — lagoon, Speed Spot, White Dune — is included in the lesson price. The equipment is Slingshot. The school also runs wingfoil lessons, surf lessons and guiding on the ocean side at Foum Labouir and Lassarga, supervised equipment rental and guided downwinders.

Dakhla Kite Planet houses its guests on site, in bungalows or tents with a private bathroom, and sells week-long packages on a full- or half-board basis: lessons, equipment, daily shuttle, airport transfers and excursions (4×4 safari and kite session at the White Dune, hot springs at Asnaa, the Talhamar oyster restaurant, Dakhla's souk) are included depending on the package.

Opening is given as seven days a week, 8 am to 6 pm, with no seasonal restriction (structured data on the website).

The school describes good conditions all year round, with steady wind from April to November and a peak season from June to September, averaging 20 to 30 knots.
